Then, the raw materials to be used in casting are weighed and charged into the furnace. Depending on the type of material, alloying elements such as carbon, silicon, manganese, and chromium are added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"383\" data-end=\"653\"><span style=\"color: #282828;\">Before casting, a chill sample is taken to check the chemical composition of the mixture. This sample is promptly delivered to the laboratory, where it undergoes cutting and polishing before being analyzed with a spectrometer. The analysis results are recorded along with the sample number.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"655\" data-end=\"976\"><span style=\"color: #282828;\">If the target chemical values are not achieved in the analysis, adjustments are made in the furnace by correcting the deficient or excessive alloying elements. A new sample is then taken, and the analysis process is repeated.
